The inaugural "Student of the Year" award was presented to Samuel Kocsis. This award is presented to the student that most represents the tenets of Taekwon-Do, namely; Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Indomitable Spirit.

Samuel was faced with a major challenge following a serious traffic accident this year. Samuel displayed incredible courage and perseverance to get back to Taekwon-Do training.

Samuel has made remarkable progress every week since returning to training. His hard work paid off when he won silver for patterns in the RITA Irish Open on December 5th and also when he was promoted to Red Tag (3rd Kup) on December 12th.
